Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was a blast this year! Although my poor mom was sick all weekend and didn't have the chance to enjoy it as much as she should, we still managed to have a good time. We had an excellent dinner thanks to my mom, and then just played with the kids. My mom, my sister Tara, and I decided to go to Twlight that night. I really enjoyed it, they followed th book very well, but I did think the acting was a little rough. But now I can't wait to see the next one. Well friday, we usually go shopping the next morning bright and early, but none of us felt like it. So my sister and I went to Santa's workshop ( craft show Vernal puts on every year) and looked around. It was a lot of fun, thanks for going with me Tara. We ended that day with the kids at the Vernal Parade of lights! Boy was it fun to see the kids light up as the parade started. My neieces Raeven and Lindsay crammed into the back of the burb waiting for the parade to start.
My cute little nephew Gabe being a crazy little monkey waiting for the parade to start!

And Baby Landon all ready for the parade to begin! Oh he is so cute!

My adorable nephews Gabe and Landon. I might be biased but I think these two are the cuteset little boys I have ever seen!
Sorry I didn't take very many pictures. But I ended my weekend by going to Salt lake with My dad, sister, brother-in-law and their kids to see Savior of the World. My mom was supposed to go, but she was too sick, so my friend Jeremy went with us instead. It was a lot of fun and very good, anyone who can should go see it. It was such a good weekend, I love being able to spend time with my family! Thanks guys, I miss you all already!

GRATITUDE!

In lou of Thanksgiving I decided I better make a post of gratitude! Today at church I learned many great lessons about being grateful. And I realized that I need to have a little more gratitude in my life. The other day I read my old roommates blog and she had posted a quote about gratitude and then today while listening in Relief Society I heard it again. I wanted to share it because I think it is a great quote. It says,

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." - Melody Beattie

I think that quote pretty much sums it up! We all need to learn to be a little more grateful for the things we have whether they are small or large. All of us are so blest! I realized today that life is never going to turn out the way I want it to, so I need to step back and look at what I do have and be grateful. Because no matter how bad I think my life is, IT'S NOT THAT BAD! In church we also talked about starting a gratitude journal and I'm sure many of you have heard of these, but I think it is a great thing. Everyday you write 5 things that you are grateful for, so today my 5 things are: My family, my friends, the gospel, my testimony, my job. Those are only a few, but you get the point. We have so much to be thankful for and our attitudes are a reflection of how we express our gratitude. I know that I haven't always been as grateful for things that I should be, because I was too worried about poor me. But today I realized I have way too much to be thankful for! I am completely blest! So I hope you can all realize the blessing you have in your life and be a little more grateful for them!

Picture tag!

Picture tag!
Go to your pictures open up the 4th folder, and post the 4th picture!

I decided to do Tara's Picture tag, so I opened the 4th folder with the 4th picture and it happened to be all the pictures of my hand after I had hand surgery. Since I already posted those pictures for your enjoyment awhile ago I opted to not gross you out again with my ugly hand. So I went to the next folder fourth picture and this is what you get. It's me looking like complete idiot getting ready to get in the airplane to go skydiving. I look like a retard, but come on I think I have the right to as I am walking into an airplane that I soon will be jumping out of at 13,000 feet. I know a little crazy, but the biggest rush and the funniest time I have ever had! Well worth looking like a nerd!

Grandparents

I have these awesome pictures of my cute grandparents and I have always needed something to do with them. My room is decorated in red, white, and black. Well I found these frames today and they were perfect. They matched perfectly and it was like my pictures were made for them. I just wanted to show everyone how cute they turned out, the cute pictures made the frame though! This frame says Moment, it that's a picture of my beautiful grandma!
This one says Memories and it's a picture of my handsome Bompie!

I love this picture. It's of my mom's parents. My beautiful grandma and handsome grandpa in Ohio!
My room is complete now! I love these frames they turned out so cute!

Halloween!

My Halloween started out with making some sweet treats! I found this recipe for a Chocolate Cheesecake Pumpking pie! It sounded delicious so I decided to make it. My friend Michelle and I were betty crockers yesterday, and can I say baking is so much more fun when you have someone to do it with!
Here is my 3 layer pie! And just so you know this was my first pumpkin homemade pie I have ever made!Look at my pretty pie!

After baking we decided to dress up 80's style and head to dinner! Don't we look HOTT? Thanks for a good Halloween Mike and Michelle!

Betty Crocker!

I found this cute recipe from a Family Fun magazine! I know totally lame because I don't even have a family or children, but someday I guess! Anyway I really wanted to try it and see how it was so I could impress my family with my cooking skills at Thanksgiving! They are totally cute and sound like they taste delicious. You get rolled out pie crust and a leaf shape cookie cutter. You cut out even number of cookies and with egg wash you pile on chocolate chips and peanut butter chips on one and then place another cookie on top and stick it together with egg wash and bake for like 12 minutes. So I tried it, it wasn't too hard and they actually turned out. They definately aren't as cute as the magazines but good enough for my first try.

Bomp

Bomp and Grandma I love this picture
A younger Bompie, wasn't he a looker!
Cute Bompie

My Dad and Bomp it there doctor suits

I have been thinking a lot about my Grandpa or Bompie as I call him. I have to refer to him as Bompie because I just can't call him Grandpa it sounds too weird! My Bompie past away 2 years ago and it was a terrible loss, not only for his family, but in my eyes it was a loss to the world. Bompie was the one of the greatest men I have ever met. In the whole 20 years I had him in my life, I never once heard him raise his voice, or say a bad word about anyone. He was seriously the most amazing person. I can't even explain to you the kind of person he was! Even if he didn't know you, he would do anything for you. All I can say is he is my Hero. I look up to him all the time and I think about him constantly. I try everyday to live like he would and be the person he would want me to be! I love you Bompie!

FAMILY

My cute Dad and Mom
My Brothers, sister, and me. Look how little we are!

My mom with her grandkids, we are just missing Landon
My grandparents from both sides, my siblings and me the baby
Another nerdy picture of me with my brothers and sister!

This weekend I went home to Vernal to spend time with my family. It's always good to go home and see everyone! I really do miss them when I am not home! But this weekend wasn't one of the best weekends I have ever had because of various reasons. While I was home a few different things happened in my family; neither of them happened for the good, but I know they happened for a reason. If anything these trials that my family are going through, have taught me something new. I realized that no matter what happens in your life like trials and various problems we face in life, your family is always there! If someone wrongs you, someone you trust betrays you, or your just struggling, it doesn't matter your family will always be in your life. They will never leave your side and will love you no matter what! I totally understand why the Church of Jesus Christ is centered on the family. The family is the most important thing in our lives and we need to live each day to strengthen our families. This weekend I was able to go to the women's conference with my mom and sister, and Brother Uchtdorf spoke about how it is the women of the church responsibility to unite and strenghten families. It doesn't matter if you are single, married, divorced, or widowed, we all have a role in doing this. I think I really needed to hear that, so I could learn from it and apply it in my life. It was just what I needed to hear this weekend, so I can focus on my family and serve them in their time of need. I am so grateful for my family and all that they do for me. I hope I help them in life and as much as they are there for me. I am so glad that I have the gospel in my life because without it I would be totally lost. I am completely blest for the gospel and the wonderful family I have. I love them so much!

Beautiful Day!

My Friend Sophie got married this weekend, and I was lucky enough to be a part of it! I think I was meant to play the role in 27 dresses, cause I am certainly getting up there in how many times I've been a bridesmaid! But not to complain, I have loved every minute of it and i have so many great memories from them. Not to mention it's totally made me realize just what kind of wedding I want to have some day! I have to thank all my friends for the great tips! Anyways Saturday was a beautiful day and I am so happy for Sophie and T.J. They are such a cute couple and they are hilarious I know they will have a happy life together and I can't be more excited for them! I had a great time hanging out with old friends and meeting new friends! I loved being able to spend the day on Temple Square! It is such a pretty place and you can really feel the spirit! I am so happy that Sophie was able to get married in the temple, and I can't wait for the day when I will be able to go through the temple as well! It was also good to see my mom and Marilyn! It was so good to spend time with them, but I have to admit it just didn't seem right without Shanece being there with us! I am so glad I have these great friends and that I am able to be a part of their lives!

Another Halloween! What nerds

Alisha, Sophie, and me! Boy we have been friends forever!!

Good friends are so hard to come by, but once you've found one it was totally worth the search! This last summer was so hard for me, because it seemed like all of my best friends that I have made in Logan were leaving me! For one reason or another they were leaving right and left. One moved to further his career, another to continue his education, one got married and moved away, the others didn't leave but realized they were expecting a baby! Which just makes it a little harder to see each other! While all of this was going on I stayed in the exact same place doing the exact same job day after day! I don't know what was harder, realizing I was the only one who wasn't moving on or the fact that my 5 best friends were leaving me! All I can say is that the Lord knows what He is doing, because for some reason or another I am meant to be here! While realizing that my friends were gone, I was able to make some great new friends, while keeping the old! I have to say that I have some of the greatest roommates and friends ever! If it wasn't for them, I don't know what I would have done with myself by now! They have kept me sane and have been great friends. I am so grateful for them! I have also made great friends with the girls that I work with! It's a good thing to, since I see them more than my own family. They are hilarious and always keep me laughing! We have such a good time. As for my friends Michelle and Mike who stayed in Logan, I have only become closer to them. I consider them my family in Logan. I know they would do anything for me and I am so grateful they live here! I am so excited for their new addition coming this January! Which only means a new girl friend for me! I can't wait! I have also realized that my friends that moved away will always be just a phone call away! Thank goodness for cell phones, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be able to keep in touch with my friends and their busy lives! And for my family who are the best friends ever! I know they will always be there! There is no getting rid of them! I love them so much and I glad that they will put up with me no matter what! I love each one of my friends, and for very different reasons! You need friends that make you laugh, can lift you up when you're feeling down, friends that will let you talk their ears off, friends that talk your ear off, friends to have intellegent confersations with, friends to laugh with, friends to cry with, friends who listen, friends who understad what you are going through, and friends who can sit in silence with and it's okay! I am so blest for the friends that I have made! I am thankful for the new and the old! Thanks to all my friends who are always there for me! I love you all!

Just call me Martha Stewart!

Yesterday my friends and I decided to have a total girls day! My friend from Salt Lake came up to see Michelle and I and to just hang out! Well a few days earlier I had see a girl make a really cute Magnetic board, and I decided I wanted to make one! I told my friends about it to see if they wanted to try it! They said yes so we started out on our adventure to make us a magnetic board!

Here is the finished product, but trust me it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be! We went to Michael's to gather all the things we needed. I assumed you could get everything we needed there, but that wasn't so! We got the frame, the paper, the modge podge, glue, magnets for our homemade magnets, and ribbon. We asked if they had a metal slab for the frame but they said not that big, so to try Lowes or Home Depot. We were so excited to get started on our project that we hurried to the other stores to buy the metal! But with our luck, or I think it's just mine, because I swear nothing comes easy in my life they didn't seem to have the right size of metal and they wouldn't cut it for us. So we each left very disappointed! Then I had a great idea that we could by a cookie sheet so we ran to Wal-mart to get one and what do you know, Wal-mart didn't have the right size cookie sheet either! So we left Wal-mart and decided to return the frame and get a smaller one. So back to Michaels we went ( a whole 2 hours later!). By this point we each are exhausted and didn't really even want to make it anymore, because we just figure it's not going to turn out! Well then I had another excellent idea! I asked to clerk if they had magnetic paint because I swore I had seen it used in like trading spaces or something. The clerk and my friends looked at me like I was crazy. So we were on our way to return everything when the clerk came back and said they really did have magnetic paint! WOOT WOOT! The project was saved! We bought the paint and were off to modge podge! My friends weren't so sure about the magnetic paint, they didn't think it was going to work! But you always have to trust Mary, I know what I am talking about! It really worked!

Michelle had never heard of modge podge before and she was so amazed by it. My friend Holly definately had the quote of the day! She isn't LDS and she said to Michelle, " How can you be Mormon and not know what Modge Podge is?" It was pretty funny and I kind of had to agree with her, but then Mike, Michelle's husband didn't know what it was either! Ha ha! Well after lots of laughs, sweat, a big mess, and a break for ice cream we finished just after an 8 hour day!
But you have to admit they turned out pretty darn cute after all the trouble we went through! I was very impressed with all of us! They are so cute I want to make another! If any of you have seen my sister Tara's blog you know that she is Crafty Nancy, so I just had to prove myself! I think I managed!
After a long exhausting day, it was great to hang out with two good friends! We had a blast and it was so nice to see Holly! Thanks for a fun, entertaining, great day girls!

Here is Landon and me at the pool!
Lindsay being SiLlY and the pool!
Tara and I before Mamma Mia started!

A county fair, a 23rd b-day, Bear Lake, and a bunch of raspberries!

Kyle thinking he is pretty hott right now! Ha Ha
Mike all ready to go jump in the lake, doesn't he look like a little boy that is so excited!
Jeremy not wanting his picture taken, trying to act tough with his gatorade!
Michelle with her Birthday cake! Happy 23rd Michelle!
I just got done smearing icing all over Kyle's face, but he totally deserved it!
The band that played at the fair was pretty good, Michelle thought the singer was single so she thought it would be a good idea for me to hit up the opportunity, but we later found out he has 3 kids.
Beautiful Bear Lake! Isn't it gorgeous! There was so many people there on Saturday because of Raspberry Days!
Jeremy floating all alone enjoying the cloudy sky!
Michelle and I trying to enjoy ourselves with no sun to get tan with!
Michelle showing off her pregnant belly! Even though there isn't much of one there!

Michelle and I at the county fair
I was trying to take a picture of the boys and they were not amused, so michelle was trying to make them get in the picture!

There seriously is nothing like hanging out with your friends, especially when we don't get to as much anymore, becasue life has got in the way! Not all of us live in Logan anymore, so we planned this weekend! ( A trip to Bear Lake, and Michelle's Birthday!) We had a blast! I don't think I ever have as much fun as when I am with these friends! We seriously have such a good time together! We started the weekend with dinner and the county fair, but Michelle and I were the only ones enjoying that. The boys weren't very impressed, so we just ended up playing games at Michelle and Mike's place and then stayed up till 1:30 (at least michelle and I did) watching old 80's music videos. Saturday morning we were off on a wild goose chase trying to find a floating tube to take to the lake! That just turned out to be a big fiasco! Seriously not a store in town had tubes, so we ended up going to Big O tires and buying some for 10 bucks each! What a joke! But we finally made it to Bear Lake, but it was time for lunch! So we had lunch and the whole time is was sunny and beautiful outside. Then we got stuck in traffic because of Raspberry days there was a million and one people up there, so by the time we got to the lake and all 5 tubes blown up it was cloudy and starting to get cold! We stuck it out though and the sun eventually came out and we floated in the sun for a good while, but then the storm started brewing! We made it back to shore just in time to start deflating our tubes and the wind storm hit. It was so funny to watch everyone on the beach in a mad rush to get everything picked up and out of there! In the meanwhile all of us looked like retards trying to deflate the dang tubes with sand and wind whipping in our backs! By the time we got everything stuffed in my car I think there was as much sand on us and in the car as there was on the beach, but it was worth it! On the way home we had to stop for a famous raspberry shake, ( well everyone else did) I got a banana cream pie shake, yum! The boys fell asleep in the back seat and Michelle and I jammed out to music! All in all it was a great weekend! I love my friends! Happy Birthday Michelle!
