Another nerdy picture of me with my brothers and sister!

This weekend I went home to Vernal to spend time with my family. It's always good to go home and see everyone! I really do miss them when I am not home! But this weekend wasn't one of the best weekends I have ever had because of various reasons. While I was home a few different things happened in my family; neither of them happened for the good, but I know they happened for a reason. If anything these trials that my family are going through, have taught me something new. I realized that no matter what happens in your life like trials and various problems we face in life, your family is always there! If someone wrongs you, someone you trust betrays you, or your just struggling, it doesn't matter your family will always be in your life. They will never leave your side and will love you no matter what! I totally understand why the Church of Jesus Christ is centered on the family. The family is the most important thing in our lives and we need to live each day to strengthen our families. This weekend I was able to go to the women's conference with my mom and sister, and Brother Uchtdorf spoke about how it is the women of the church responsibility to unite and strenghten families. It doesn't matter if you are single, married, divorced, or widowed, we all have a role in doing this. I think I really needed to hear that, so I could learn from it and apply it in my life. It was just what I needed to hear this weekend, so I can focus on my family and serve them in their time of need. I am so grateful for my family and all that they do for me. I hope I help them in life and as much as they are there for me. I am so glad that I have the gospel in my life because without it I would be totally lost. I am completely blest for the gospel and the wonderful family I have. I love them so much!

Beautiful Day!

My Friend Sophie got married this weekend, and I was lucky enough to be a part of it! I think I was meant to play the role in 27 dresses, cause I am certainly getting up there in how many times I've been a bridesmaid! But not to complain, I have loved every minute of it and i have so many great memories from them. Not to mention it's totally made me realize just what kind of wedding I want to have some day! I have to thank all my friends for the great tips! Anyways Saturday was a beautiful day and I am so happy for Sophie and T.J. They are such a cute couple and they are hilarious I know they will have a happy life together and I can't be more excited for them! I had a great time hanging out with old friends and meeting new friends! I loved being able to spend the day on Temple Square! It is such a pretty place and you can really feel the spirit! I am so happy that Sophie was able to get married in the temple, and I can't wait for the day when I will be able to go through the temple as well! It was also good to see my mom and Marilyn! It was so good to spend time with them, but I have to admit it just didn't seem right without Shanece being there with us! I am so glad I have these great friends and that I am able to be a part of their lives!

Alisha, Sophie, and me! Boy we have been friends forever!!

Good friends are so hard to come by, but once you've found one it was totally worth the search! This last summer was so hard for me, because it seemed like all of my best friends that I have made in Logan were leaving me! For one reason or another they were leaving right and left. One moved to further his career, another to continue his education, one got married and moved away, the others didn't leave but realized they were expecting a baby! Which just makes it a little harder to see each other! While all of this was going on I stayed in the exact same place doing the exact same job day after day! I don't know what was harder, realizing I was the only one who wasn't moving on or the fact that my 5 best friends were leaving me! All I can say is that the Lord knows what He is doing, because for some reason or another I am meant to be here! While realizing that my friends were gone, I was able to make some great new friends, while keeping the old! I have to say that I have some of the greatest roommates and friends ever! If it wasn't for them, I don't know what I would have done with myself by now! They have kept me sane and have been great friends. I am so grateful for them! I have also made great friends with the girls that I work with! It's a good thing to, since I see them more than my own family. They are hilarious and always keep me laughing! We have such a good time. As for my friends Michelle and Mike who stayed in Logan, I have only become closer to them. I consider them my family in Logan. I know they would do anything for me and I am so grateful they live here! I am so excited for their new addition coming this January! Which only means a new girl friend for me! I can't wait! I have also realized that my friends that moved away will always be just a phone call away! Thank goodness for cell phones, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be able to keep in touch with my friends and their busy lives! And for my family who are the best friends ever! I know they will always be there! There is no getting rid of them! I love them so much and I glad that they will put up with me no matter what! I love each one of my friends, and for very different reasons! You need friends that make you laugh, can lift you up when you're feeling down, friends that will let you talk their ears off, friends that talk your ear off, friends to have intellegent confersations with, friends to laugh with, friends to cry with, friends who listen, friends who understad what you are going through, and friends who can sit in silence with and it's okay! I am so blest for the friends that I have made! I am thankful for the new and the old! Thanks to all my friends who are always there for me! I love you all!

Just call me Martha Stewart!

Yesterday my friends and I decided to have a total girls day! My friend from Salt Lake came up to see Michelle and I and to just hang out! Well a few days earlier I had see a girl make a really cute Magnetic board, and I decided I wanted to make one! I told my friends about it to see if they wanted to try it! They said yes so we started out on our adventure to make us a magnetic board!

Here is the finished product, but trust me it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be! We went to Michael's to gather all the things we needed. I assumed you could get everything we needed there, but that wasn't so! We got the frame, the paper, the modge podge, glue, magnets for our homemade magnets, and ribbon. We asked if they had a metal slab for the frame but they said not that big, so to try Lowes or Home Depot. We were so excited to get started on our project that we hurried to the other stores to buy the metal! But with our luck, or I think it's just mine, because I swear nothing comes easy in my life they didn't seem to have the right size of metal and they wouldn't cut it for us. So we each left very disappointed! Then I had a great idea that we could by a cookie sheet so we ran to Wal-mart to get one and what do you know, Wal-mart didn't have the right size cookie sheet either! So we left Wal-mart and decided to return the frame and get a smaller one. So back to Michaels we went ( a whole 2 hours later!). By this point we each are exhausted and didn't really even want to make it anymore, because we just figure it's not going to turn out! Well then I had another excellent idea! I asked to clerk if they had magnetic paint because I swore I had seen it used in like trading spaces or something. The clerk and my friends looked at me like I was crazy. So we were on our way to return everything when the clerk came back and said they really did have magnetic paint! WOOT WOOT! The project was saved! We bought the paint and were off to modge podge! My friends weren't so sure about the magnetic paint, they didn't think it was going to work! But you always have to trust Mary, I know what I am talking about! It really worked!

Michelle had never heard of modge podge before and she was so amazed by it. My friend Holly definately had the quote of the day! She isn't LDS and she said to Michelle, " How can you be Mormon and not know what Modge Podge is?" It was pretty funny and I kind of had to agree with her, but then Mike, Michelle's husband didn't know what it was either! Ha ha! Well after lots of laughs, sweat, a big mess, and a break for ice cream we finished just after an 8 hour day!
But you have to admit they turned out pretty darn cute after all the trouble we went through! I was very impressed with all of us! They are so cute I want to make another! If any of you have seen my sister Tara's blog you know that she is Crafty Nancy, so I just had to prove myself! I think I managed!
After a long exhausting day, it was great to hang out with two good friends! We had a blast and it was so nice to see Holly! Thanks for a fun, entertaining, great day girls!
