T-Shirt Quilt!

I just finished my T-Shirt quilt! I am so excited about it and I think it turned out pretty cute! My friend Anne inspired me to make one, she has a couple of ones that she has made and I kept thinking how cute and comfy it was so when my Aunt Val gave me a sewing machine I decided that was the first thing I was going to sew. I think this is by far the most comfortable quilt I have ever felt. It has the t-shirts on the top which are super soft as it is, then I got the thickest padding that I could and the back of it is made from that jersey material which is pretty much the same material of the t-shirts! And ever since I was a child I have loved silky edges on things. I just love to rub it for some reason, so to make the quilt even better I bound it with a silky edge! I love it! I hope you think it is as cute as I do.

In New York!!!!

Okay so I know it's been forever since I have last posted, but life is just too crazy anymore. And I know I went to New York 3 weeks ago, but better late than never right? What a trip! I seriously don't think I have ever had so much fun! It was a week full of first, adventures, amazing views, delicious foods, and lots and lots of walking. Instead of saying what I did, its more like what I didn't do, Seriously! We did everything from the Statue of Liberty to WICKED! Amazing! Here are just a few pictures of my AWESOME trip with two of my greatest friends! :) So this is the most random picture of the whole trip, I just had to put it in. My friends and I were taking pics of us kissing the frog, get it! Well while it was mine turn for the photo op, some random french guy jumped in the picture! Looks like I found my prince charming!
Erica, Anne, and I on Top of the Rock, or whole I might say! Such an amazing view! That is central park behind us! Its HUGE!

Anyone know what this is? The bull from the stock exchange! Pretty sweet, but I must say it was like eerily quiet in front of the NYSE!

One of the best moments of my life! Eating the much anticipated CHOCOLATE PIZZA! That's right chocolate pizza! Best thing I have ever eaten!

The famous Chocolate Pizza! Doesn't that looks so good! I am drooling just thinking about it!

Another awesome view of the amazing sky line!

We decided to take a break from walking and went for a mani and pedi! Seriously both only cost $21 dollars! Who said you can't get pampered cheaply in New York!

I am captin of the Interpid! This was a huge Battle Ship used in WW2 and Vietam! It was so cool!

The Beautiful Statue of Liberty! It was so amazing to see in real life! I am grateful to be an American! I can't even explain the emotions I felt seeing it and also going to Ellis Island! Wow!
I had so much fun, I wish I could post all of my pictures! But I seriously think combined between the 3 of us we have millions! It was amazing to see all of the things you see in Movies! Its is something that you have to experience yourself! I saw everything from China Town to the NFL draft, I ate at Tom's Resturant from Seinfeld, and biked Central park! Baptisms at the Manhattan Temple, to eating a piece of Pizza as big as my head! I played on the Big Piano at FAO Swartz, and saw the most Beautiful Diamonds in the whole at Tiffany's! It was a trip of a lifetime and I can't wait till I can go back!

What a Cruise!!

So many of you know, that I went on a cruise the end of January. All I can say, is what an adventure I had. The original plan was to arrive in Long Beach at 1:00 in the afternoon and be able to board the ship at 2:00, but because of the bad weather California was having it was post-poned until 7:00 that night!! Well what are 4 girls without a car or any knowledge of Long Beach supposed to do for 7 hours?? Good guestion right, well first off it was freezing in Long Beach and rainy, so we were cold and wet, and not to mention when I got my suit case from the plane it was like they had dropped it in a wet puddle, water was literally running out of it! AWESOME! I guess we could say Carnival Cruise Lines came to the rescue, kind of! They bused us to a convention center to entertain us for the day and fed us lunch. While that was great and all, it was like the air conditioning was on, it was like an Ice box in there. The only warm clothes that I took with me on this trip was the pants I had on and the Jacket I was wearing!! So we enjoyed our sandwich, but it was so cold in there and there was no entertainment.... Oh but wait, Carnival to the rescue once again, they brought in some clowns!!! That's right, clowns! Not only clowns but the best ballon making clowns in the world!!! As annoyed as I was I couldn't stop laughing about how the day was turning out, when I signed up the cruise I had no idea it was going to start out like this! While laughing and watching the clowns contently; because there was literally nothing else to do, I noticed the clown making this balloon! At first, I thought the balloon was a baby, but soon to my delightment I realize it was a cupid! I asked the clown if I could have it and she said yes!! Not even kidding, this was actually the coolest balloon I had ever seen!! So after that we found out we could go the local aquarium for free, so we went and did that, but no worries every where I went with that cupid balloon I made friends! Person after person kept coming up to me asking to take a picture of it and wondering where in the world I had gotten it! It seriously made everyone's day a little brighter that day! So after all that, they finally annouced that they would start shipping us over to the ship at 7:30 that night! It was utter chaos! But we finally made it on the ship and like 9:00 that night and found out our rooms wouldn't be ready for awhile and to just find somewhere to eat dinner. As much as I wanted to do something fun after dinner I was so exhausted from the day that I had to go to bed. So the next morning we got up and went to breakfast, and just like that I started to feel the movement of the ship and felt a little woosy. That day was just the day at sea so we just messed around and explored the HUGE ship! That night was the formal dinner and it was fun to dress up and have a nice fancy dinner, but once I sat down, I felt terrible again. After dinner I took some motion sickness pills and told my friends I was going to go lay down for a bit, but I would meet back up with them in a little bit to do the evening festivities! NOT, I feel asleep and felt so sick that I ended up staying in that night! So LAME!! Well the next day in Mexico was awesome! Not to mention getting off that ship for a day! I seriousy felt like I was in a whole different world! What is it with the Pharmacy's on every corner with the Men yelling at you to come get "some Viagra for your boyfriend!" every few steps! WEIRD!! We went and saw the Blowhole or should I say La Buffadora! It is only 1 of 3 in the world! It was awesome and so beautiful! Then we did some shopping and bartering with the locals! It was so much fun! I really had a blast in Ensenada! I wish I had more time there! Well we got back on the ship in time to sail away back to Long Beach! I don't know if the captain was in a hurry or what, but we literally hauled butt back! The ship was going so fast and the water was already rough, that that night was by far the worst! And once again I was back in bed before 10:00 that night! And the next day was time to get off and head home! We took a taxi back to the airport and our taxi driver just kept speeding up then slamming on the brakes the whole way. So that didn't help with the motion sickness! Then once we got the airport I felt like I was spinning and still rocking on the ship! I felt terrible!! Once we finally made it back to Orem that night I jumped in bed! It seriously took me like a week to recover! So I guess I can say I had fun, but definately didn't have a blast. Lesson learned, next cruise, Don't go in January wait for when the weather is warm and nice, don't rely on motion sickness pills, get the ear patches, and pack a few warmer clothes, and expect anything to happen!!! Don't worry, Scully showed up to greet us for breakfast!!!
My AWESOME CUPID BALLOON! WOW, HUH? Yes, he has knee caps and five toes!

The view at the Blowhole! Breathtaking!

This is where the blowhole comes up! La Buffadora!

Formal night, before I got sick!

We just arrived at the airport, waiting for my drenched luggage!! :)

World Cup Bobsledding!

So this past weekend in Park City they held the World Cupt Bobsled Competition. My friend Anne and I decided we would head up to the Olympic Park to check it out. Boy was I glad we did, it was AWESOME! You literally stand right next to the coarse, so you are like not even 5 feet from the track as the sled goes by. I seriously don't think I have seen anything cooler. So here are a few of the millions of pictures we took. This seriously made my night. I totally saw the Jamaician Bobsled Team!!
GO USA!!! They did a good job, coming in 2nd place behind the Swiss!

Another sled zooming past us going past us at 80 mph. Can you see how tucked in the back person is? And all the pushers we saw were BIG GUYS!
All in all though, This was one of the coolest things I have done. Thanks Anne for a great night!

I have never in my life seen so many women dressed up as witches in my life! It was a lot of fun just walking around people watching! We definately had a great time drinking hot chocolate and eating scones and honey butter! YUM! Here are a few pictures of our night!
